Gruntify’s Latest Travels

It has been a busy few months for Gruntify! Across the world, our team has been making steps toward growing Gruntify. From conferences to expos to winning awards, there is plenty of news to discuss. Let’s get into it!

First off, towards the end of October, team Gruntify attended the 2018 BiiG Network public sector futures conference. Held in Brisbane, it was a great event where many start-ups and businesses got together to discuss Digital Transformation in the public sector. As a premium exhibitor, we had the privilege of being interviewed by non-other than Bill McDonald! You can listen to the interview here. We’d like to thank BiiG for giving us the opportunity to showcase Gruntify!

Shortly after the conference, our COO, Jeff Portwain did his own travelling meeting with potential customers across the U.S and U.K. First, he visited San Francisco and met with a potential reseller and partner for Gruntify. Next up, Jeff went to New York to meet with Ken Nuss, our Vice President of sales for North America. Here they networked with more potential partners. Then Jeff was off to England where he perused the market to meet with more possible customers. Given our recent expansion to the U.K, this trip proved to be a valuable step for Gruntify.

While Jeff was in London, our CEO & Founder Igor Stjepanovic spent a few days in Sydney. Here he attended the CRN awards and met with Microsoft, Telstra and a few other potential partners discussing all things Gruntify. Networking is key!

Flash forward to last week where both Jeff and Igor attended the Australian Utility Week in Melbourne. This digital utility expo focussed on bringing together different utilities to network and discuss Digital Transformation in the Water and Energy sector. Being an exhibitor for the event meant we had to give a presentation about Gruntify and how it’s providing a smart, digital solution for those industries. To top it off, we walked away with the “Best Australian Utility Week Startup” award! It was our first time attending this exciting event, and we’d like to thank Australian Utility Week for giving Gruntify this valuable platform.

Lastly, over the past month, Gruntify has frequented the news. Why? Our disaster response management application RADAR is making waves not only in Australia but internationally! Here at home, the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) shared a new video detailing how RADAR has been helping the government collate information after natural disasters. While in the U.S., three different publications featured Gruntify and discussed how it’s breaking ground over there. GovTech discussed how RADAR is greatly needed in the states while City Innovate and CleanTechnica both described Gruntify’s successful journey with STIR.

With all this successful news to share, it’s clear Gruntify has had a great year. With 2018 coming to a close soon, we reflect on how far we’ve come as a company. The future is bright, and with recent international expansions, you can expect big things from Gruntify in 2019.
