This overly requested feature is one that the team here are excited to announce. Our clients have been asking for us to implement a drawing line and polygon feature into Gruntify. By allowing users to draw over the top of any basemap, it gives them the freedom to select objects or shapes with only a few taps.
What is this new feature?
Gruntify has introduced the drawing lines and polygons feature to help our customers map out specific shapes and or lines on any basemap. This gives mobile users the ability to capture objects and shapes by simply taping the screen.
What are the uses and benefits?
Perhaps the biggest benefit of this feature is the ability to provide precision into where an object or place is by easily drawing a line or a polygon. An example of this is if a field user needed to find the exact building in a busy location, then a mobile user could draw a polygon around the building they needed to visit. Another use is if a farmer needed to find what fence needed attention, then the mobile user could draw a line to indicate which fence needed to be actioned.
How does it work in Gruntify?
Mobile users can simply tap on the Map Options to bring up the Draw Line and Draw Polygon buttons. They can then click which function they want to use and tap in a line or polygon shape to be able to send back to the office.
