Gruntify was always designed to be powerful but also very user-friendly – thereby helping our users get the job done quickly. Due to popular demand, we recently launched sketching feature in Gruntify.
What is the sketching feature?
The sketching feature allows users to draw anything they want on a blank canvas using their fingertips or stylus. It is so much fun! This new capability will assist in explaining a scenario to other team members back in the office, such as sketching directions or diagrams to make it easier to explain the incident location to someone who isn’t present at the time. It also happens to be one of the most requested and one of our favourites features to date!
What are the uses and benefits?
We decided to add this to the platform because it provides users with additional space to draw directions, diagrams or anything else to support their requests. This will enable the field workers to locate the incidents quicker than ever before by following the sketch instructions.
Some examples include drawing directions to a location that’s not visible on a map or a diagram of a farm’s layout to find the cattle. There is no limitation to the things you can draw to assist with the reports.
How does it work in Gruntify?
When a user is making a new request, they can click on the paint brush icon to bring up a blank page. From there, users can create several sketches to support their requests to send back to the office. Field workers can then use this information to locate the incident or location of the issue quickly.
Users can sketch on a blank page with text, freehand drawing, the thickness of freehand, colour of text and eraser. With many options to customise the drawings, users have many choices for the colour and direction of their sketches.
